Danny Amendola will experience the full Boston sports treatment, whether he deserves it or not, due to the timing of his signing.

With Wes Welker shocking the football world by jumping to Denver on Wednesday and Amendola getting signed by the Patriots right after, the questions about what happened with Welker and whether the Patriots tried hard enough to keep him will continue to arise, no matter what Amendola does, for some time.

But Amendola, Welker’s replacement in the slot, is just looking ahead. He tweeted his excitement at joining his new team Wednesday evening.
