How Did That Ball Stay Out? Unlucky Greek Striker Hits Post Four Times With One Shot (Video)

March 17 might be St. Patrick’s Day, but all of the Irish luck in the world couldn’t help this Greek striker when he attempted the most impressive non-goal in recent memory.

In a game played on the Greek island of Lesvos, an unknown striker for lower-division teamĀ Egeas Plomariou advanced toward the opposing goalkeeper and sent a shot that appeared to be heading into the net.

However, instead of rolling into the lower left corner, the ball miraculously pinballs off of the left post, touching every part of the frame without ever crossing the goal line.

The goalkeeper stood by helplessly for about five seconds as the ball managed to stay out of the net before defenders could boot it out of the zone.

Needless to say, this shot has to be seen to be believed. Check out the logic-defying video below.
