J.J. Watt Hits Home Run in Houston Astros Batting Practice, Prepares for First-Pitch Festivities (Video)

J.J. Watt has been known to make contact with quarterbacks throughout his two-year career with the Houston Texans, but on Friday he took his power to the diamond.

Watt, who posted 20 1/2 sacks and four forced fumbles in the 2012 season, connected on a few balls after a rough start in batting practice. The defensive end drilled one into the Crawford Boxes in left field, according to Gene Duffey of MLB.com.

Watt will throw out the first pitch on Sunday when the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers open the 2013 MLB season. Check out the 6-foot-5, 295-pound specimen flash off his bat below.
