Marc StaalThe first question everyone was asking after Marc Staal took a vicious puck to the eye was whether he was OK. The next question was whether he would start wearing a visor.

Hurricanes center Jordan Staal spoke about his brother Monday and said Marc is working his way back from the injury. He also had some inside information on the visor question.

“We asked him. I think he’s gonna wear one,” Jordan told ESPN.com. “It really isn’t a laughing matter, but I think he learned his lesson and is gonna throw one on.”

Jordan said his mom had some things to say after the injury, “as usual, but Staals can be stubborn sometimes.”

Jordan said Marc is still healing, but he’s “slowly getting there,” and “things are looking up for him,” although he said he didn’t know when he would return.

“It was a tough moment for myself, obviously for him, and our family, but I’m glad to see he’s doing better,” he said.

The Staals missed a chance to have all three of them — Jordan plays alongside brother Eric in Carolina — on the ice Monday with Marc out.
