Matt Forte Blasts Proposed NFL Rule That Would Ban Running Backs From Lowering Helmet

As part of the league meetings that start on Monday, the NFL has six new rule proposals. Matt Forte is none too pleased about one of them.

The new rule that the Bears running back has taken issue with would ban runners or defenders from lowering their helmet to initiate contact in open space outside the tackle box. Previously, leading with the helmet was only a penalty for defenders.
