Visors aren’t mandatory in the NHL, but the league might reconsider now.

Rangers defenseman Marc Staal took a puck to the eye area Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers. A deflected puck careened off a Flyers stick and made a beeline for Staal’s face. He dropped to the ice in obvious pain.
