Red Sox Offering Free Food, $5 Beer at Fenway Park During April Home Games

BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox are hoping to lure fans back to Fenway Park after a subpar year by offering them free food and cut-price beer for the first month of the season.

Kids under 14 will get a free Fenway Frank, Goldfish and a juice box from certain concession areas before the third inning during April.

Hot dogs will he sold two for the price of one; hot chocolate will be cut from $4.25 to $2; and a 12-ounce beer that normally sells for up to $8.50 will go for $5.

Team chief operating officer Sam Kennedy tells The Boston Globe the deals are to “thank our fans for their incredible support and commitment.”

The Red Sox are coming off a 69-93 season in which they finished last in the AL East.
