Report: Patriots Have Shown Interest in Eastern Kentucky Wide Receiver Tyrone Goard

Tyrone GoardIt should be no mystery that the Patriots will be going into the draft looking for wide receivers. And they may have found just their type at Eastern Kentucky.

New England has shown interest in Tyrone Goard, according to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com. The former Colonel caught 100 career passes at Eastern Kentucky for 1,842 yards and 24 touchdowns. Goard had 41 catches for 900 yards and eight touchdowns his senior season.

Goard is 6-foot-4, 205 pounds and ran a 4.46 second 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine. He also had a 36-inch vertical leap, 10-foot-3 broad jump, 4.39 second 20-yard shuttle and 6.90 second 3-cone time.
