Return to Discipline Key for Bruins After Uncharacteristic Penalty-Kill Struggles in First Period (Video)

The Bruins came into Saturday boasting the league’s top penalty kill, but that unit struggled early on against the Lightning, allowing a pair of power-play goals to go into the first intermission down 2-0.

Boston regained its composure after the break, though, foiling the Bolts’ final seven man-up opportunities to secure a 3-2 comeback victory. Center Patrice Bergeron provided the assist on the final B’s score — the team’s second power-play tally of the night — and told Naoko Funayama during Ace Ticket Presents Bruins Overtime LIVE that the team returned to its style of hockey after falling into the early two-goal deficit.
