Don’t expect to see Rob Gronkowski performing DDTs, powerbombs, piledrivers or choke slams on TMZ.com anytime soon. The Patriots tight end is back to being all business.

Gronkowski went through the ESPN car wash on Wednesday with appearances on SportsCenter and Mike and Mike in the Morning, and he was giving all the answers the Patriots have taught him since he was drafted in the second round in 2010. The All-Pro tight end said he would never put himself in harm’s way off the football field.

“I totally understand where the fans are coming [from], where they don’t want [me] to put myself in jeopardy of getting hurt,” Gronkowski said on Mike and Mike in the Morning. “I totally understand that. I would never do that, put myself in jeopardy.”

Gronk wouldn’t say if the Patriots had talked to him about the incident that took place at a Las Vegas nightclub where he was videotaped landing on his injured forearm after performing a wrestling move on a friend.

“Whatever I talk to [with] the Patriots, we stay confidential,” Gronkowski said. “We really don’t give anything out.”

Gronkowski confirmed he’s had three surgeries on his left forearm. The latest was to treat an infection from the second surgery. He said the arm is feeling better than it did during the season when he tried to return after the first break, which came against the Colts on Nov. 18. Gronkowski broke the same arm against the Texans in the Patriots’ divisional-round win.
