Tim TebowA professional football team has shown interest in Tim Tebow. Unfortunately, it’s the Arena Football League’s Orlando Predators. If only trades were allowed between NFL and AFL teams.

The Predators’ owner, Brett Bouchy, knows Tebow won’t want to turn to the AFL until he’s used up all his options in the NFL, but he said Orlando would welcome the former Gator with open arms.

“Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we’d love to have him,” Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel. “I think he would definitely improve as a quarterback in our league. Kurt Warner told me once that when he got back to the NFL after playing in the Arena League, the NFL game was like slow motion. Everything in the Arena League is just so much faster and quicker and predicated on accuracy. Whenever Tim is willing, we have a contract waiting for him to sign.”

The Jets are expected to cut Tebow if they can’t find a trade partner before the 2013 season. New York signed David Garrard to compete with Mark Sanchez and Greg McElroy at quarterback.
