Wichita StateTim Tebow has been known to give the occasional motivational speech or two, and the Jets quarterback imparted some of his wisdom on the Wichita State basketball team on Sunday.

When the Shockers returned to Kansas after upsetting top-seeded Gonzaga to reach the Sweet 16, they were surprised at the airport by Tebow, whose plane happened to be refueling there.

He told the players to cherish their college years and capitalize on the golden opportunity they have in front of them.

“Some of you might go play in the NBA and have great lives, but this is the time you’ll remember. All of you out there, balling together, training together, putting in the heart and the sweat and everything, caring about each other,” Tebow said. “You’ll never forget.”

Wichita has been one of many Cinderella schools to take down the big dogs in this year’s NCAA tournament, and they’ll face another in No. 13 seed La Salle later this week with a trip to the Elite Eight on the line.
