Ever wanted to hear longtime broadcaster Bob Costas say things like “give props” and “blunted?” Well, today’s your lucky day.

On Tuesday, Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano fired agent Scott Boras and became the first client of rapper Jay-Z‘s new Roc Nation Sports agency. Well, that gave MLB Network commentators some fuel to talk about hip hop, and showed us all a whole new side to Costas.

Upon being asked who his favorite rapper was, Costas naturally went to (he believes) the first rapper to reference Costas himself in a song, Ludacris. The song Costas is referring to is the Ludacris track “Hip Hop Quotables” off his Chicken-n-Beer album. Likewise, Costas decided to perform a little of the rap on the spot, namely the part where his name gets dropped.
