The Bruins are proving that they too are “Boston Strong,” as they have now joined the Red Sox in keeping a personalized No. 617 jersey close during these trying times.
The team posted a picture of the jersey on its Instagram before Wednesday’s game, the first back in Boston since the explosions at the Boston Marathon. The Red Sox have a similar jersey hung in the team’s dugout in Cleveland, where they are currently playing a three-game series.
