Celtics Wear Commemorative Patches Declaring ‘Boston Stands as One’ on Uniforms Against Knicks

At Fenway Park, the Red Sox are wearing jerseys that read “BOSTON” across the chest. At TD Garden, the Bruins took the ice wearing caps honoring police. At Madison Square Garden, the Celtics will add a gesture of their own.

The Celtics will take the floor for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference playoff series against the Knicks with patches declaring “Boston Stands as One” on one shoulder of their jerseys. There is no word on how long the Celtics will keep the patches, but we speak for everyone when we say we hope they wear them throughout the playoffs, as long as that lasts.
