It wasn’t a happy birthday for the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh.

According to NBC 6 South Florida, Bosh and his wife returned home on Thursday night after celebrating Bosh’s 29th birthday that evening and found that about $340,000 in items had been stolen from their home. Among the items missing were watches, jewelery and purses, said the Miami Beach Police.

However, in one stroke of luck, Bosh’s NBA championship ring had been left untouched.

Bosh and his wife had left their two children with a babysitter at around 7:30 p.m. before celebrating at Briza on the Bay on Bayshore Drive in Miami. When they returned home they discovered a closet had been ransacked, and called the police at about 12:30 a.m.

“We are leaning on the side of this being an inside job,” said Miami Beach Police spokesman Bobby Hernandez.
