Darrelle RevisDarrelle Revis isn’t certain about his future in New York, but he is pretty sure he’ll be on the field somewhere in Week 1.

Revis is making great strides in his recovery from a torn ACL, training, doing agility drills and even running on a treadmill, as was evidenced in an interview with the NFL Network on Thursday.

The All-Pro cornerback has been rehabbing his knee injury on his own all offseason, but now he’ll have to report to the Jets’ facility in Florham Park, N.J., on April 15 for a voluntary conditioning program or risk losing $3 million. That should stir up plenty of intrigue on both ends, given the heavy speculation surrounding Revis’ future with the Jets.

But instead of fretting about it, Revis is approaching the entire situation with a much broader scope.

“There’s been a lot of talk,” Revis said. “We’ll see what happens, if I’m there or if I’m not. But that’s the next step. That’s the next phase for me in my career, these next couple of weeks.”

More than anything the All-World corner is just excited to get back to doing what he loves.

“I can’t wait until my name gets called, when I get to run out of the tunnel and just be where I usually [am],” Revis said. “My comfort zone is to go out there and just play ball. … I’m just grateful, I just thank God I got a second chance.”

With that attitude, the rest of the NFL should be afraid. Very afraid.
