Jonny Gomes’ Bat Features Names of Tragedy Victims Along With ‘Boston Strong’ Message (Photo)

A number of athletes have used their equipment to pay their respects to the victims of this past week’s tragic events. On Sunday, Jonny Gomes will use his bat to pay homage.

Will Middlebrooks tweeted a photo prior to the first game of the Red Sox’ doubleheader against the Royals. It’s supposedly of the lumber that Gomes will use.

The bat features the names of the four people who were killed during this past week’s attacks. Above the victims’ names is the phrase “Boston Strong,” which has become a rallying cry for many Bostonians.
