A couple of photos can go a long way.
Some vacation photos of NFL free agent safety Kerry Rhodes surfaced Thursday on MediaTakeOut.com showing the former Cardinal and Jet with his arm around a male friend. While nothing in the blog said Rhodes was gay, folks are questioning the player’s sexual orientation as the photos did come with a caption that read: “Now we’re not gonna JUMP TO ANY CONCLUSIONS HERE . . . but we got our hands on some vacation pics of NFL star Kerry Rhodes and one of his male friends.”
Rhodes, who supports athletes of all backgrounds and interests, spoke to TMZ about the photos on Thursday night.
“Photos have been circulating of my former assistant and I that have caused some rumors regarding my sexuality, and I wanted to address the situation,” he told TMZ. “I am not gay.”
“The shots were taken during a past vacation in a casual environment with my entire business team,” he added. “I know a lot of people are recently talking about athletes struggling to come out to their fans right now, and I support them, as well as wish those individuals comfort.”
