Milan Lucic was the last Bruin to end a regular season with more penalty minutes than Shawn Thornton.

Back in the 2008-09 campaign, Lucic logged 136 PIM, compared to Thornton’s 123. Lucic took the honor again this season while spending 75 penalty minutes in the box in the shortened 48-game season. This year, Thornton logged just 60 minutes in the box, despite missing three games.

Clearly, the Boston enforcers have both spent a decent amount of time in the box for their imposing physicality over the past few seasons.
