Rays Mascot Holds Up Inappropriate Sign Mocking Steve Irwin’s Death (Photo)

Let’s go ahead and give Tampa Bay Rays mascot Raymond a free pass and assume he can’t read.

Raymond recently held up an inappropriate sign (which was likely made by a fan) during a Rays game that read: “Rays to do list: 1. Steve Irwin. 2. World Series.” Irwin, also known as “The Crocodile Hunter,” passed away in 2006 when he was killed by a stingray while snorkeling.

Additionally, the Rays once “did” a World Series — they lost to the Phillies in 2008.

Check out the photo below of Tampa Bay’s “Canus Manta Whatthefluffalus” holding up the sign.
