Friday should be an emotional night at Fenway Park.

Friday’s contest against the Royals will be the Red Sox’ first home game since Monday’s Boston Marathon tragedy, which is still fresh in the minds of the players and of the rest of the Boston community.

The Red Sox have honored the victims and heroes of Monday’s events throughout their series in Cleveland. The team hung a “Boston Strong” No. 617 jersey in the dugout, Dustin Pedroia hung a supportive sign he received from a young Indians fan and a number of players have tweeted out messages to show their Boston pride.

On Friday, the Red Sox will have the privilege of playing in the shadow of a “B Strong” sign, which has already been placed on Fenway’s Green Monster.

Check out the “B Strong” sign below.
