Dsemond TrufantThe Patriots are hosting some high-profile NFL draft prospects.

Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan, Florida State defensive end Tank Carradine, Washington cornerback Desmond Trufant, Alabama tackle D.J. Fluker and LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu are all set to visit New England, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. Jordan, Carradine, Trufant and Fluker are expected to be first-round prospects, while Mathieu could fall to the second or third round.

It’s been reported the Chiefs are interested at taking Jordan No. 1 overall, so his visit could be more due diligence than actual interest. From that group, plus Reid Fragel‘s reported visit, it appears New England is targeting cornerbacks, offensive tackles and pass rushers. They also worked out wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins last week.
