The ‘D’ in D-Train stands for “Ducks” this season.

Dontrelle Willis will join Vladimir Guerrero and pitch for the independent league Long Island Ducks in 2013, according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.

The 31-year-old lefty posted a 72-69 record in his nine-year MLB career with the Florida Marlins, Detroit Tigers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds. However, after beginning his career among the better pitchers in baseball, control problems, injuries and general ineffectiveness derailed his once-promising future.
