As the NFL nears the cutoff date for pre-draft visits, the Patriots are doing their fair share of in-person scouting.

The Pats recently invited LSU offensive lineman Chris Faulk in for a visit, according to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com

The junior tackle is coming off of a major knee injury sustained in practice in September. Faulk did not perform any drills at the NFL combine, but he bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times.

At 6-foot-5, 331 pounds, Faulk is expected to play right tackle in the NFL after playing on the left side at LSU. He started as a freshman at left tackle before tearing his ACL last season. Faulk started all 14 games with the Tigers in 2011, as well as the season opener in 2012 before his injury.

He was an All-Southeastern Conference second-team selection as a sophomore.

The Patriots have used up a number of their allotted 30 pre-draft visits to evaluate talent before the big weekend. The last date for visits is April 17.
