Matt FlynnThe Matt Flynn era didn’t last long in Seattle.

Flynn was traded to the Raiders for two draft picks, according to Jay Glazer. The Seahawks signed Flynn to a three-year, $19.5 million contract before the 2012 season. Russell Wilson emerged as the starter out of training camp and Flynn attempted just nine passes all season.

The Raiders will not have to touch their 2013 draft in the trade. Both “later round” picks are from the 2014 and 2015 drafts, according to Glazer. Oakland traded their second-round pick in the 2013 draft to Cincinnati for Carson Palmer, who they are trying to trade to the Arizona Cardinals.

Flynn was drafted in the seventh round of the 2008 draft out of LSU. He gained notoriety after throwing for a Packers-record 480 yards and six touchdowns in Green Bay’s Week 17 matchup against the Lions in 2011.
