Among the most exciting things about the first four games of the Red Sox’ season has been Jose Iglesias‘ offensive emergence. The young infielder is 7-for-12 so far, which is a drastic improvement over the .118 he hit in 2012.

But Iglesias wasn’t supposed to start the year as Boston’s starting shortstop. That job was supposed to be Stephen Drew‘s, who is currently recovering from a concussion he suffered during spring training. Drew is expected to return on Monday with his starting role intact.

Check out the video above to hear what the Boston Globe’s Pete Abraham thinks the Red Sox will do with Iglesias once Drew returns. Abraham and NESN’s Tom Caron also discuss what the Red Sox’s shortstop position will look like for years to come.
