Tom Werner Promises Red Sox Will Play With Energy This Year, Says Team Not ‘Surprised’ by Early Success (Video)

Boston fans seem to be cautiously optimistic about the Red Sox in 2013, which is a far cry from the public sentiment surrounding the team during most of 2012. With the Sox returning to Fenway Park in first place after a 4-2 start to the season, there is an energy surrounding the team that hasn’t been felt in some time, and the top Red Sox brass is noticing.

Team chairman Tom Werner stopped by Red Sox First Pitch with Tom Caron before Monday’s home opener to discuss the team’s early success, and he promised that this year’s squad will play with energy day-in and day-out. Check out what he had to say in the above video.
