Clay Buchholz followed Jon Lester‘s strong performance Sunday with seven shutout innings of his own Monday afternoon, which bodes well for the Red Sox’ starting staff this year.

After sputtering last season, the starters are now under the tutelage of John Farrell in Boston, which many onlookers theorized would result in a return to form that the Sox badly needed. With John Lackey coming off Tommy John surgery and Ryan Dempster getting introduced to the mix as well, there are plenty of storylines surrounding the team’s rotation.
