Jamal Mayers SpotlightBlackhawks winger Jamal Mayers hasn’t seen a minute of ice time in the postseason.

But that didn’t keep him from getting slapped with a $1,600 fine by the NHL.

Mayers has been a healthy scratch this postseason, but he still managed to ruffle some feathers during warmups. Before Game 5 at the United Center, Mayers was seen shooting pucks into the Red Wings’ net across the ice.

The NHL handed down the fine, which is roughly only a day’s worth of pay for the Canadian, before Monday night’s Game 6.

The Blackhawks forced a Game 7 against the Red Wings on Monday night, beating Detroit 4-3.
