Brad Marchand photo galleryIn a heart-pounding instant classic, David Krejci finished up an unforgettable night with his game-winning third goal in overtime against the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. The Bruins’ 4-3 victory in Game 4 gave them a 3-1 lead in the series, which now turns back to Boston.

The Bruins’ fortunes looked bleak after Joffrey Lupul and Cody Franson scored in the first period to give Toronto a 2-0 lead. But the Bruins responded in the second period with power-play goals by Patrice Bergeron and Krejci sandwiched around an even-strength goal by Krejci. Before the Bruins could even start to think about protecting their lead, Clarke MacArthur scored 44 seconds later to knot it up.

Krejci deserves boatloads of credit for notching his second playoff hat trick with his overtime goal, but Tuukka Rask may have been Boston’s most indispensable player in the game. Rask recorded 45 saves, helping keep the game going long enough for Krejci to come through.
