Heat Looking Championship-Worthy, But Not Unbeatable As NBA Playoffs Progress (Audio)

We are now nearly a month into the NBA postseason, and the field of championship hopefuls has been trimmed to five teams. The Grizzlies, Spurs and Heat have already locked up spots in the conference finals, while the Knicks and Pacers will continue their semifinal series on Saturday, with the winner advancing to take on Miami.

The Heat have been the championship favorite ever since they raised the Larry O’Brien Trophy last June, and it will be a tall task for either New York or Indiana to prevent LeBron James & Co. from reaching the Finals for the third consecutive year. But although they have been dominant, the Heat are not a mortal lock to win the Eastern Conference, and NESN.com NBA editor Ben Watanabe stopped by the New Hampshire Sports Night radio show to talk about why.

He also touched on what the future looks like for the recently eliminated Warriors and what Doc Rivers‘ return means for the Celtics. Click below to hear the full interview.
