Jacoby EllsburyThe Red Sox will technically go for a sweep on Tuesday night at a Fenway Park.

Fresh off of pounding the Phillies 9-3 on Monday, the Sox are hoping to get a similar effort in the second game of a two-game series on Tuesday. The two teams will then head to Philadelphia for another two-game set on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Red Sox’ 15-hit attack in Monday’s win was sparked by center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury. After a rough stretch for much of May, Ellsbury is starting to heat up as the month comes to a close. Ellsbury is hitting .370 (10-for-27) with three doubles and six walks in his last seven games and is 5-for-his-last-10 with three doubles.

Boston will be tasked with facing former Cy Young winner Cliff Lee. The left-hander is 5-2 this season with a 2.49 ERA. He’s just 3-6 with a 3.81 ERA in 12 career starts against Boston.

Ryan Dempster gets the ball for the Red Sox. He’s 5-5 with a 5.27 ERA in 24 career appearances against the Phillies. Second baseman Chase Utley is 8-for-16 in his career against Dempster with a home run and four RBIs.
