By now, all of the sports world has been aware of Jason Collins‘ announcement via Sports Illustrated that he is gay. On Wednesday, Collins made his first official public appearance since the revelation — and did so sitting beside his twin brother, Jarron Collins.
Collins actually mentions his brother in the Sports Illustrated article, saying Jarron had no clue that he was gay. On Wednesday night, the duo expounded on that story in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with Jarron joking that he missed the “red flags” about his brother.
Another one of the segment’s funnier jokes was when Jarron revealed a T-shirt proclaiming “I’m the straight one” to identify himself from his eight-minute-older brother. Jarron was even seen later actually wearing the shirt out in public.
Aside from that, however, Jason does speak a bit about coming out, sharing a few stories from his recent experience. Check out the interview in the videos below.
