At this point, it’s worth asking whether Manny Ramirez should have gone to Taiwan sooner.

Ramirez has quickly become a celebrity in the Asian nation, thrilling his teammates and enchanting the media while he bashes home runs and turns in otherwise dubious play.

With Ramirez’s birthday coming up, his team, the EDA Rhinos, decided to show just how big of fans they all are. His teammates and the team’s trainers, coaches and broadcasters all donned some dreads in honor of Ramirez turning 40 on Thursday.

Ramirez even led a rendition of “Happy Birthday” before telling the fans, who were also privy to the birthday party, that the Rhinos had “a game to play,” bustedcoverage.com reports.

Ramirez is cranking over in Taiwan. He has a .344 average, seven home runs and 35 RBIs in 35 games.
