New Wyoming Football Field Design Has Mountains, Bronco, Numbers Reminding Opponents How High Field Is (Photo)

When opponents visiting Wyoming for football games this fall start sucking wind, they’ll have a handy on-field guide that can tell them just how many feet above sea level they are trying to play at.

UniWatch has tweeted what it says is a new field design for the Cowboys’ football field, and the layout is pretty catchy. It uses Wild West-style typography, yellow and brown coloring, and visages of a bucking bronco and the Rocky Mountains to set the mood.

The best part, however, is where the design says “7,220 feet” along both sidelines. That’s the elevation of the field — the highest in Division I’s Football Bowl Subdivision.
