The Oklahoma City area was hit by a tornado for the second time in two weeks on Friday, forcing those attending an American Hockey League playoff game in the city to evacuate into the parking garage.

Tornado warnings delayed the start of Game 4 of the Western Conference finals between the Oklahoma City Barons and Grand Rapids Griffins (the AHL affiliates of the Oilers and Red Wings, respectively). Everyone in attendance at Cox Convention Center — including the players — was ushered into an underground garage, where they waited for roughly 90 minutes until authorities gave an “all clear” around 9 p.m.

The game was postponed due to flooding and rescheduled for Sunday afternoon.
