Red Sox Suffer Sloppy ‘Eighth Inning Uh-Oh’ Against Royals in Otherwise Forgettable Game (Video)

The Red Sox might have lost more than a game on Tuesday night after a couple of injuries left the team without Will Middlebrooks and David Ross for the later innings. That said, they still did lose a game in pretty unattractive fashion.

Boston couldn’t solve Twins starter Scott Diamond and only scratched across one run in the ninth inning to avoid a shutout while falling 6-1 to Minnesota. Ryan Dempster pitched well for the Sox, but not well enough as a spurt of defensive miscues all but sealed the Twins’ win in the eighth inning.

NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is a little bummed out after this one, but who’s your player of the game?
