Report: John Abraham Not Planning to Retire Despite Cryptic Tweets

John AbrahamBetween Orb winning the Kentucky Derby and Floyd Mayweather Jr. remaining undefeated after a bout with Robert Guerrero, John Abraham confused his fans with a couple of cryptic tweets.

The tweets have been deleted since, but they read “Retiring 13,” followed by “Done.” Abraham is not planning to retire, though, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Rapoport’s source said Abraham’s tweets might have been a reaction to frustration with the free agent process. Abraham has drawn interest from the Broncos, Seahawks, Patriots and Titans.

The 13-year defensive end had 10 sacks with the Falcons in 2012. He also accumulated eight quarterback hits and 38 quarterback hurries, according to the website Pro Football Focus. His 56 total pressures were 12th among 4-3 defensive ends.
