Julian EdelmanJulian Edelman‘s injury concerns have extended into the offseason.

The wide receiver and punt return man for the Patriots is in a walking boot after having surgery on his right foot, Karen Guregian of The Boston Herald reports. Edelman broke that foot in December and was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

Shalise Manza Young of The Boston Globe reports that Edelman reinjured the foot, while Guregian cites a team source as saying that Edelman got a “clean-up procedure.”

Both Young and Guregian say Edelman will be out for organized on-field team activities, which are coming up in the next few weeks, and they said it also looks likely that Edelman will be out for minicamp, which runs June 11-13.

Edelman re-signed with the Patriots this offseason on a one-year deal. He has missed 16 regular-season games in his four years in New England.
