Report: Marco Belinelli Fined $15,000 for Making ‘Obscene Gesture’ During Bulls’ Game 7 Win (Video)

Bulls guard Marco Belinelli was fired up after drilling a 3-pointer late in Chicago’s 99-93 win over Brooklyn on Saturday, but the NBA was not too pleased with his choice of celebration.

The league fined Belinelli $15,000, according to USA Today, for doing what has become known as the “Sam Cassell Dance” on his way back down the court after the pivotal three. The dance move, made popular by Cassell during his 15-year NBA career, has gotten players in trouble before, as Josh Smith and Eddie House have both been hit with similar fines for mimicking the gesture.
