LeBron James and the Heat were not the only people perturbed with the officiating in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals.
After a game that featured 55 fouls called, many of them controversial, the NBA plans to review the more egregious calls from the Pacers’ 99-92 win, CBS Sports reports. Fans were in an uproar on Twitter during the game, with members of the media joining the chorus. James, who fouled out on a questionable moving screen violation late in the fourth quarter, expressed displeasure with the officiating crew after the game.
Joey Crawford, Rodney Mott and Derrick Stafford were the officials for Game 4, with Crawford leading the crew.
The officials clearly blew the call on a shot-clock violation in the third quarter, when Roy Hibbert‘s shot hit the rim and should have reset the 24-second clock. Both the clock operator and the officials failed to see it, however, and they subsequently disallowed Tyler Hansbrough‘s layup.
