Vinny Del Negro, Matt BarnesRest easy, Clippers fans. Vinny Del Negro is not your problem anymore.

The embattled head coach will not return for a fourth season on the team’s bench, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Despite leading the Clippers to a franchise-record 56 wins this season, Del Negro’s coaching style and acumen was called into question by many observers and even his own players following L.A.’s playoff loss to the Grizzlies.

Memphis coach Lionel Hollins and Golden State assistant Mike Malone are reportedly among the Clippers’ candidates, as is Stan Van Gundy, who was let go by the Magic after the 2011-12 season, but who has said he plans to sit out next season.
