Anyone thinking that the feud between Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia would be going away any time soon is sorely mistaken.

At this year’s Players Championship, Garcia blamed Woods for an errant shot he hit on the par-5 second hole at TPC Sawgrass, saying Woods caused his gallery to cheer while Garcia was in the middle of a shot. Garcia followed that up by indicating that he didn’t particularly enjoy playing in the same group as the world No. 1-ranked Woods.

More fallout from that incident occurred after the tournament, as on-course marshals disagreed whether or not Woods was at fault for distracting Garcia.

On Monday, Woods spoke at a news conference promoting next month’s AT&T National in the Washington D.C. area. A reporter gave him an opportunity to squash the feud, asking Woods if he had any thoughts of calling up Garcia to bury the hatchet.

Woods’ answer? A contrite “No,” eliciting laughs from those in attendance, after a brief awkward silence.

The U.S. Open just got that much more interesting. Check out video of Woods’ response in the video below.
