The NFL’s new policy on players who violate the code of conduct is to … take away their stats?

There’s no way to know if that has anything to do with it, but this much is clear: Aaron Hernandez‘s NFL.com page is especially devoid of numbers. While the league site shows that he has played a certain number of games for the Patriots over the last three seasons, his total yards, catches, touchdowns — everything — are no longer available.

Sometimes, when a player becomes a free agent, his profile may not be accessible, but rarely do numbers that were already recorded fail to be displayed.

Hernandez was charged with murder Wednesday after an investigation that began last Monday when Odin Lloyd‘s body was found near Hernandez’s North Attleboro home. Hernandez has since been released by the Patriots.

While Hernandez will go through due process and be considered innocent until proven guilty in court, many have speculated that the NFL, and commissioner Roger Goodell, who has been prone to crack down on off-the-field behavior, will be more swift to distance Hernandez from the game.

They may have already started.

Check out Hernandez’s profile, including his “career stats” tab, in the photos below.
