Alex Wilson’s Favorite Player Growing Up Was Nomar Garciaparra, Wishes He Could Play Shortstop in Majors (Video)

Before Alex Wilson got the call up to the Red Sox, he spent two successful seasons in Double-A Portland. Wilson was a starter for the Sea Dogs from 2010 to 2011 and was named to the Eastern League All-Star team. He was also named the Red Sox minor league Pitcher of the Year in 2011.

So Wilson, who now works out of the bullpen for the Sox, was the perfect pick to field questions from the New Auburn Little League team from Maine before Sunday’s game.

The little leaguers asked Wilson multiple questions, including who his favorite player growing up was, his best moment with the Red Sox and if he has fun playing in the majors. Check out his answers in the video above.
