Austin CollieThe New England Patriots brought in one of Peyton Manning‘s old pals on Tuesday.

Austin Collie worked out with the Patriots before minicamp practice, according to a league source. Mike Reiss of ESPN.com had the news first.

Collie worked as a slot receiver with the Indianapolis Colts, but he’s been plagued by injury issues. He played just one game in 2012 after suffering a ruptured patellar tendon. He’s also had multiple concussions.

Collie played in 16 games in 2009 and 2011 and just nine in 2010. His most productive season came in 2010, when he had 58 receptions for 649 yards and eight touchdowns.

Collie has been working out with former Patriot Deion Branch in Indianapolis. Collie is not expected to be 100 percent by Week 1.
