Ravens running back Bernard Pierce was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while in Philadelphia on Sunday evening. Pierce’s BMW was also stolen, but was later recovered in another part of the city and scanned by police for possible clues.
Pierce told police that a gunman jumped from a car and robbed Pierce and a male friend, also ultimately stealing Pierce’s BMW. Pierce and his friend were shaken, according to reports, but Pierce’s agent, Martin Magid, told the Baltimore Sun on Tuesday that Pierce is fine.
“Police are investigating the incident,” Magid said. ” Any questions about it should be forwarded to the Philadelphia Police Department. It’s not the best situation, but he’s good.”
Pierce rushed for 532 yards in the regular season and tacked on 202 in the postseason during the Ravens’ journey to the Super Bowl.
