Brad Marchand‘s second goal of Game 2 against the Penguins pretty much summed up all you needed to know about the second game of the Eastern Conference final.

The pesky Bruins forward got the B’s on the board just 28 seconds into the game, but it was his second goal of the period that really put the final nail in the coffin, even in the first period. Just 25 seconds after the Penguins finally got on board to cut the Bruins’ lead to 3-1, Marchand scored his second of the period with under 10 seconds to go in the first. That helped Boston roll to a 6-1 win and a 2-0 series lead.

But it’s what happened immediately before and after Marchand’s second goal that Bruins fans might enjoy the most. Marchand could be seen exchanging words with Penguins forward Matt Cooke at the Boston blue line. At some point during the conversation, Marchand realized that the play was still going on. From there, he abruptly ended the encounter, spun and took off down the ice where he eventually beat Marc-Andre Fleury for the goal.

Naturally, Marchand let Cooke know about it after the goal. See it all happen in the video below.
