Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, Johnny BoychukMaybe those big, scary Penguins everybody warned us about just haven’t shown up yet. So far, the Bruins have been the biggest, baddest guys on the ice in the Eastern Conference final.

Brad Marchand netted two goals while Nathan Horton, Patrice Bergeron, Johnny Boychuk and Jaromir Jagr each added two points as the Bruins dominated Pittsburgh 6-1 to take a two games to none lead in the best-of-seven series. Penguins goalie Tomas Vokoun was yanked and replaced by Marc-Andre Fleury in the first period, but it did not matter. The Bruins were in total control no matter who was between the pipes.

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask played another brilliant game, stopping 26 of 27 shots, to make his teammates’ job that much easier. Krejci’s goal was his eighth of the season, while Bergeron’s ended a drought that began right after his unforgettable third period and overtime in Game 7 against the Maple Leafs. Taken all together, it was a strong performance from a team that appears to have “flipped the switch.”
